Working with a virtual world development studio, we designed and produced multiple interactive spaces for Audi AG over three years within Sony’s PlayStation Home. Our work covered promotional spaces, virtual branded clothing and gaming experiences.
Audi’s presence in Home began in December 2009. It gave visitors a place to meet, explore product presentations and take part in games, with new activities appearing over the following years. This was an ongoing programme of content within a shared virtual world.
One later release was the Audi Technology Experience, announced by Audi and VEEMEE in December 2012. It introduced three tracks built around quattro, transmission and ultra technologies, with players choosing modifications to a concept car to complete challenges. In the same announcement, the partners reported more than 15 million games played by over three million users across Audi’s Home content. Those figures describe the wider Audi programme.
For our part, the project brought together the design and production of environments, clothing and interactive experiences over an extended client relationship. Related work in our portfolio includes Audi A1 Beat Driver and the establishment of the VEEMEE development studio.
